it's the first grandslam of the year... and as much as i'd like federer or nadal to win, i wasn't going to be the case. world no.3 clinched that prestigious title. so is the ever wonderful maria sharapova who had played really well throughout the open. coincidentally, both winners had beaten the world no.1 in the open.
i'm contented with the level of finesse the player possesses and the quality of tennis they showcase in their matches. i'm definitely impressed. now the no.1 position has been threathened. so who will be running towards the top?
