whoa! it's been peculiarly hot and rainy nowadays and today meet @ pizza hut @ PS with chiang aik and ee chow without kartika (who was "unable to come")... just catching up with each other, updating our pathethic lives for whom going to ns and all. we certainly learn something more of each other than the period we've spent in poly. and at least one important thing in common...hehe... so chiang aik if you have realized your "true" dream, pls ask me along okay!

then just follow chiang aik around to shop for his semi-casual-formal shirt/jacket for his friends wedding...so ironic these stores that claimed to have discounts storewide and then the brand that we wanted to buy is not applicable to the discounts...also decided to check which type of bag needed to bring to ns -_-"" b4 that went to buy the ticket for Over The Hedge for me and ee chow as chiang aik went to meet his friends...

the cinema was certainly diff than usual with parents and some of their kids who sometimes can be a liiiiitle bit noisy and laugh at some lame jokes... the movie was overall beri funny... every animal has their own unique plot to play and humorous too. i like the little porcupines who are very electronic savvy and the possum who likes to pretend to die... the seating arrangement for the both of us was the most perfect of all. it was so centred and the right distance from the screen... enjoyed it a lot..

after that decided to go marina square(again~like ytd) to play some pool, and was stupefied, gobsmacked & thunderstruck by the $8.40 per hour charges??!!! that is so daylight robbery...it's like selling a m'n'm for $8... then ee chow suggested to play at park place ... took another bus back to the smu then walk all the way there... booked a table; play 8-ball 1st ..

b4 that went to toilet... saw alot of secondary school kids changing from their uniform to home clothes... reminds me of sec sch days where we wanted to go arcade... after a game of 8-ball, i concluded that it's a bit lame to play that everytime .. so i introduced the 9-ball game... which he didn't know?!?! i've been dying to play that since i saw san's miguel... also me executed a couple of nice shots and combinations... (also been so itchy in the game; have scratch more than 20 times!!) ... there's a bad cloud hanging over my head... hehe... played for about 2 hours~~ and i was in a rush to watch sg idol... tot want to take taxi then the bus just came... phew!~~ save me money $10++....

went to marina sq. to eat lunch with "beloved" cousins 'a' & 'f'. me ate fish & chips @ swensons... itakimasu couz~.then went to golden village to watch x-men. me like the seating place as it was booked earlier on... ty cousin 'f'... we also saw someone who looked so similar like the brother of my cousins!!! so~~~ similar....keke...

a very harsh ending for x-men... i don't like it... prof x. shouldn't die... & the great phoenix who power is limitless shouldn't too... i don't know why the scripts portrays the theme of "humans(homosaipiens) vs mutants" for this movie... i should recommend some new plot like introducing some badass villian like the indestructable Apocalypse or the manifestation of Sentinels (anti-mutants robots).. so both brotherhood & x-men synergize to defeat them. also introduce some interested basic characters like gambit, spyke or even the sexy psylocke(fav >_<)..

after movie went to library @ esplanade to return 'f' book. also pay 'f' fines~!! such a fine queen huh...after that go to kinokuniya@taka ..see see some new mangas/animes... then to borders... then go home lor... btw had a fun time today.. ty..

at night went to my family senseh at kovan. my bloody toe is killing me. heng-sensei said it should be okay to leave the nail like that than removing at the clinic. much better this way... although i'm still doubtful and skeptical.. oh what the heck.. just take some herbs to make the blood flow better lor.....

it's French Open week @ roland garros... another great tournament to watch .. of coz it will root for the top 2 seeds. xdxd >>>>>>

weekend is very excrutiating for me. still bothered by the toenail injury and other sore muscle joints. having an extremely blue-black toenail is like a toothache for the leg. & the nail on the toe (right) is precariously shaky like an (almost) fallen tooth. can still walk, jump a bit but run. any pressure on the any part of the toe would be disastrous. the pain is just unbearably painful and fast.

if it's not healed by a week, i will just see a doctor & just remove the bloody nail (literally). can't wear any damn shoes. slipper & sandals are just fine.....

OUCH!

countdown to ns: 1 week 3 days 6 hours 4 mins 34 seconds -_-""

i began tennis wrong. my strokes were wrong and my viewpoint clouded. i had no early training. it's been a long time someone told me the importance of the fundamentals of the game, such as keeping the eye on the ball or correct body position and footwork. i was given a racquet and allowed to hit the ball. naturally, like all beginners, i acquired many very serious faults.

enough of the crap above. been playing with K for 2 hours today. as expected we were so lousy as first... but gained some control on our serves and stuffs... i think i have forgotten all my basics... those people on tv make it look so easy. damn.

i forgot to cut my toenails and that created some pressure and great discomfort to my running vertically and horizontally. my serving and returning area was quite limited.

my forehand is quite ok, sometimes uncontrollable and backhand really c.m.i. footing for volleys were abnormal but can return some balls. i'm proud to pull off some topspin/slice serve~~drop-shot- a couple of time the 'zero-shiki' where the ball just moves towards the net although the bounce was quite high.

after the warming session, the real match starts. one set (tie-break)match: K to serve.
i broke k's serve to lead 1-0. then when i thought the momentum was on my side, i was so wrong... never i thought the outcome was supposed to be like this. (change court) my service game start. pull off some double fault and lots of unforced error. break point won to k. 1-1. then it started... k's service. k won... 2-1 then 3-1 then 4-1 THEN 5-1. i was so like what? the fuck. then k served for the match, however, i broke k's game to 5-2. k still leads big time and i need to at least get to 5 games to tie.

from there onwards, my serve's had been better pulling off some aces and some drop-volley and drop shots. i slowly climbed to 5-3, then 5-4, finally 5-5. phew~! i was so out of stamina and bearing in mind that my foot still hurts. it was my turn to serve..>> i lead 6-5. now's the chance to win the game. it came down deuce in k's service game. k had evaded a couple of my matchpoints. in the end, i gain advantage. then, hit a winner for the match! zomg i had won (my 1st win). i was down from 1-5 to 7-5. i knew it was just maybe luck because like me, k, had several double faults and lots of unforced errors.

in the end i realised that:
1. improve on my first serves
2. returning shot at the perfect timing, footing and serve.
3. should not stand in between the baseline and service line "no man's land"
4. ....
5. ..........

ps: k - vgg ty.

tv review:

hip hip hooray hippies! their intelligence and humour have brought them far around the world and $1M richer... congrats!

now with elliot out, kat and taylor will compete for the AI title. well kat is great singer with great vocal considering if the choose the right song for her...
taylor just exudes his soul patrol energy in his perfomance and a great performer who have gone so far. aslo has a unique voice though but he looks 3x older. finale: great singer vs. great performer?

arggh.. ancic has lost to robredo in the s-f. and congrats to robredo who defeat stepanek 6-1,6-3,6-3. things is not the same in this tournament considering nadal and federer withdraw due to fatigue. consider him lucky this time... xdxd & that's it for clay courts...

omg.. just watched the much anticipated singapore idol. kinda boring i think unlike the 1st one... with some really funny people stole the limelight and some with good voice... blah*

it's been a great weekend overall...

just bought my new grip tape and a couple of wristbands with my cousin *yipee* (had to express in a childish manner) @ royal sporting house. saw ansar and his friends there too...

went back to my cousin's house; otw back, went to mac donalds - decide to try the new chicken thingy like in the commercial except without doing the waving in the air thingy(wtf is up with that?)... it was quite nice overall, with all the new spice (maybe i was too hungry though)...

cousin suggested to have a karaoke session. singing with a wireless microphone... that's hot. no distraction of the cables while moving around singing. we sang several various artist songs including peterpan (mungkin nanti, menunggumu, etc) & of course dangdut : memori daun pisang (banana leaf memory xdxd ... lol)...

i realized that the mic doesn't complement my voice at all. (I sing good in a good mic). Hence: bad singing, bad harmonization with my tone-deaf partner-in-crime whom we mass-butchered every song, including my auntie and other neighbours around. xdxd.

went to nlb @ mp... cousin wanted to borrow a book. it was way quiet that time - a place with no kids or [brats (including adults too)]. otw back, bought an ice blended mocha and passed by the usual basketball court with the usual chinese guys usually playing their usual usual game. i also saw their alleged 'coach'. then we ate dinner and was interrupted by someone at the door.

it was one of the basketball players, who were selling their own 'charity' ice-cream at 9.50pm..?? they were selling the ice-cream @ $9/box. so daylight robbery... but the $$ was their income to participate in a tournament... we've seen them play before; just a short glimpse or so... and their intention were bona fide ( i hope).. so just give them the $9. well, ganbate you guys...

again another week of non-stop tennis. just witness the most spectacular play of the day.
blake[7] vs. ancic[13].

blake was leading with 6-4, however, in the 2nd set, ancic turned the tables with a 7-5 and the deciding set with another 7-5. i was astounded by the world no.13 super fast kick serve!!! i hope i can do that someday... just need a lousy opp. xdxd. he ends the match with 10 aces.

also been doing part of my cousin's F&N 'n' level project which includes a mind map regarding vitamins. kalau kau baca ni.. you owe me 1 for this k.
jgn nak eksyen buat tak tahu pulak.. biase die... had to find research on vitamins and to my amazement, there's a myriad of information about it...i thought it was just crap & a waste of time... in retrospect, i learnt quite a bunch of healthy knowledge.

also almost reaching the 3rd-quarter of a long running episodes of tennis no ohjisama. another nice anime to watch coz it's 99% tennis. learnt quite a lot of tennis terms and super moves from there actually...

ps: although i may have seem to have lost the zest of life, i'm not an emo.

when i thought the level of anticapation & excitement can't get any higher, i'm manifestly wrong.
congrats to Rafael Nadal to winning his 2nd consecutive title..

the 19yo world no.2 (20;in June 3rd) has beaten no.1 yet again.
[7-6, 6-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-7]
the championship match was literally gut-wrenching, nail-biting, nerve wrecking, hair-raising, w/e-"..."ing,... the intense match have met the spectators' expectations remarkably.

also kudos to Aras! keke... i think whoever Danielle chooses she will lose; putting the winner aside, "Cerie" 'big momma' has always been the centre of attraction and the others were just part of the excitement. she was mostly the people's fav, clearly outwits the others...wtg!. nice car btw~

wow... it's had almost been tennis week this week
been watching the ATP Masters early this week... lots of of top ranking players to look out for...

federer [1]: been playing good so far until he face almagro... his opponent sure gave him a fucking difficult time during the 2nd & 3rd set (i thought he might defeat the world no.1) but too bad ;) ... still, kudos to him for putting up a challenge with the world no.1 [was nerve wrecking watching the match]

nadal [2]: i've always miss some of his matches... dunno why but looking at his score i guess he might do justice with his ranking though... lol... xdxd

roddick [5]: he's been the master of all serves - fattest serve in the world... but didn't see much effect of it in the event and he's been struggling to perform the right "serve" - one of his disadvantage and the other one was that he was weak against drop shot (or not) during his match with bagdhait but he pulled through... though...

//anticipation for the semi-final and finals...

Zomg... chris was voted out... i thought it was gonna be an all guys finals *shocked*...
surely a lot of ppl knn of the results... nevertheless, i think he will get a recording contract though... now dunno who to support now... maybe yameen.?

what an audacity for survivor to put "to be continued" on the tribal council... haiz... wtf...
with the finale next monday... i will root anyone that's left 'cept terry...maybe aras ... who knows...

and with the closure of amazing race round the corner... added another great anticipation for next week...

post too long liao... later

went to the heart centre yesterday for my 24-hr abp holter results. doctor said everything was okay and my heartbeat ranges from 46-138 bpm. life goes on...

now's the time to revive my tennis skills... maybe master the "zero shiki" xdxd

tadi pun baru dengar lagu dangdut alias kadir - belah saje... very catchy and kelakar~ sekarang tengah demam dangdut!!.. also "goyang dangdut gendut" dan "ramwang hari raya..."
